We’re sorry to hear your code isn't working as expected! Tiny formatting errors can sometimes get in the way of your savings. Before you reach out to our support team, run through this quick checklist to get things moving.
Here are some steps we would recommend:
Check for Sneaky Spaces
When you copy and paste a code, it’s very easy to accidentally grab an extra space at the beginning or end.
The Fix: Manually type the code into the box or ensure there are no gaps before the first letter or after the last digit.
2. Verify the Terms & Conditions
Every brand has its own set of rules. Your code might not work if;
Sale Items: Many brands disable discount codes for items already on sale.
Excluded Ranges: Some brands exclude specific collections, "New In" items, or gift cards.
Minimum Spend: Check if you need to hit a certain basket total for the code to activate.
3. One Code at a Time
Most retailers only allow one discount code per order. If you have already applied another code e.g. 'Free Shipping' code or a different promotional offer, the Student Beans code might be rejected.
4. Is the Code Expired?
While we work hard to keep everything fresh, codes can sometimes expire if left in your checkout for too long.
The Fix: Try refreshing the brand page on Student Beans and generating a brand new code to see if that does the trick.
5. Check the Checkout Location
Ensure you are shopping on the correct location of the brand's website. If you generated a code for a UK store from the Student Beans UK website/app, but are trying to use it on the US site, it likely won't be recognised.
